‘Low Strung’ Series Intro

Once in a while, a dream project lands in your inbox that reignites your passion for creativity and collaboration. This would be one of those projects, where a comedy duo contacted me to spice up the intro to their web series ‘Low Strung’ with animation. I was excited and honored to have free rein to get as weird and creative as I wanted and knew right away that I wanted to add in some cel animation on top of the footage they provided.
First, I locked in a unique color palette and whipped up some initial style frames to ensure we were moving in the right direction. After approval, I set out on some frame-by-frame animation tests and did some tracking work on the footage. From start to finish, this was such a fun project, getting to flex my art director hat and make something unique and fresh for such a fun web series.
