When artists and dj’s collide, you are bound to have an unforgettable event. That’s what happened when a good friend and DJ, Lyndon, and another DJ (Sören aka DJ Rock Paper Scissors) reached out to create some promo material for their monthly dance party and artist gallery showcase called Limited Space.
The structure around creating these visuals found me taking a loose, experimental approach where I was able to explore combining hand-drawn and after effects animation to create a vibrant and lofi aesthetic that helped convey the artistic and celebratory nature of the event. I came up with a logo for them that nods to a quirky throwback to the 90s, with imagery that eludes to a cut-and-paste psychedelic rave flyer. These are the types of projects that keep me going, where I can really go wild and inject some personality into the mix.
